Baseball did THIS time… but barely.
Even though it took forever for the players union and MLB to come to an agreement over how they would handle the season, I always knew they would figure out a way through. And now Opening Day is FINALLY here.
But this experience has been incredibly eye opening for a lot of people, and because my husband is a professional baseball coach, we have felt the undeniable vulnerability of the sports industry amidst a pandemic.
Truthfully, we're still not in the clear. Although every team is handling the situation differently, David's employer has only guaranteed pay "until further notice." Even though Major League Baseball is currently in action, a single organization employs thousands of people and there are still very few guarantees for most in the world of baseball.
As I have watched the layoffs, furloughs, negotiations, and continued uncertainties play themselves out the last few months, I've been increasingly thankful for my little virtual business.
While millions of Americans were being laid off and furloughed this spring, thousands of online business owners were thriving and actually making more money than they ever have.
Crazy, I know. But it is true.
If there's one thing this experience has made me realize, it's that focusing on building my online business is EXACTLY what I need to be doing.
And I know I'm not alone. In fact, being forced to work from home has made many Americans more interested than ever in starting an a virtual business.
Getting a taste of working from home has made people hungry for more of that time and location freedom.
What about you?
How are you feeling about this whole pandemic?
Has working from home made you strongly consider starting a location independent business?
Regardless, you've gotta check out the article, "How to finally start an online business that can bring in as much as 6 figured per year."
The article above features one of my very own mentors, Amy Porterfield. Amy is basically THE Queen of digital courses. Before becoming an online business mogul, she used to work for Tony Robbins as one of his full-time directors. Eventually she left that job in order to start her own online business and now she makes millions of dollars every year selling her knowledge and teaching other business owners how to do the same.
Now stop scrolling and go check out the article. You won't regret it.
